June Session – Hip Mobility for Pigeon and Lunges

Slow down. Ask questions. Refine your practice.

In this month’s Yoga Practice Lab we explore the hips and how they move in poses like Pigeon and low lunges.

For many students these poses can feel tight, intense, or uncomfortable. In this session we slow everything down and look at the mechanics of the hips so you can create more space and stability in these shapes.

Together we will explore:

• how the hip joint moves and rotates
• why Pigeon can feel intense for many bodies
• ways to support the hips using props and positioning
• how to build mobility gradually and safely

After exploring the movement patterns, we’ll integrate what we learn into a short, slow sequence including lunges and hip-opening shapes.

This session is not about forcing flexibility.
It is about understanding how your hips move.

Perfect for anyone who feels tight or restricted in Pigeon, lunges, or other hip-opening poses.

All levels welcome.
