Becoming Perfectly Imperfect

I realised its time to own who I am. To shout out loud and proud this is me in all my glory. So here's the truth of it all:
I'm a perfectionist.
I suffer from anxiety and stress which shows up in a tight chest and lack of breath.
I talk REALLY fast. Like I have to make an effort to speak slowly!
I work too much and forget to take holidays.
I am energetic and bright but prefer my own company.
Social gatherings are my kryptonite!
Keep in mind I don't think any of these points are negative. Not one bit. When you begin to understand and accept who you are then you can turn those 'interesting' sides of yourself into your own personal super power!
So what's the deal? Why am I telling you all this?
First, people think yogi's are happy-go-lucky folks and never have worries but we are also very emotional creatures too. What I know to be true is through my yoga studies I have learnt to become the observer of my emotions. I learned over the years that I can alleviate these symptoms through different yoga techniques and have built a business so I can share them with you.
Because as I said earlier, if you learn to understand who you are you can harness these traits as your own personal super power.
After all these years of being hard on myself for not "being perfect", I now embrace my so called imperfections and am able to connect with so many people. So my previous faults have become my superpowers that are redirected in helping others.
Words can't express what a wonderful feeling that is.
Today I'm encouraging you to own who you are including those so called imperfections, think about them in a positive light as in what can you learn from the experiences and then talk about it with your people. You might find you can also help others by acknowledging that we are all perfectly imperfect.
