I’m starting to think that physical movement, healthy eating and meditation is kind of like payments going into your superannuation. It’s a barely noticeable investment that is made for your future! You don’t really reap many of the rewards of your regular investments until you get old enough to cash in.

Oh, but when you do, it’s worth the wait. Especially if you’ve added extra from time to time.

Here's what I'm thinking:

  • You gain interest on your investment such as cellular regeneration and repair. Think the fountain of youth, people.

Some of the returns you will cash in on are – easier physical movement, more youthful in appearance, supple muscle & bones and most importantly, lower rates of disease and sickness.

  • On occasion there are losses in that we still can get sick.

This could be due to time of year, food and beverage choices (hangovers etc) or injury. Usually, it isn’t as bad as others feel it or we recover much quicker.

  • Which means less doctors’ visits, less medication and the opportunity to work/rest/play in good health.

What’s not to love about investing in you.

I hope this idea gives you the motivation for times when you don’t feel like doing any exercise. For the times when you overindulge to get back on track quicker or think that 5 minutes of meditation per day won’t make a difference.

It...all...adds...up. Cha-ching in the body bank!

See you on the mat,

Tracy
